Booking App

StayEase Booking

StayEase booking a stay, anywhere, anytime. A 36 screen mobile case study reimagining short-stay property booking end to end from first launch to a confirmed reservation with the warmth and trust of a modern travel brand.

Role: Senior UI/UX & Product Designer | Platform: iOS & Android Mobile | Tools: Figma · Design Systems

Booking a stay should feel as easy as the trip itself.

StayEase is a concept property-booking app in the spirit of Airbnb designed to prove out a full, coherent product experience rather than a handful of pretty screens.

The brief I set for the project was simple to state and hard to execute: take a guest from "I need somewhere to stay" to "booking confirmed" without a single moment of friction, ambiguity, or visual inconsistency while leaving clear architecture for a host side and messaging layer to slot in later.

I worked it as a real product would be worked: define the information architecture first, wireframe the flows that matter most, then layer in a visual system that feels warm and trustworthy rather than generic travel app.

Prototype & hand off

Four gates, one boarding pass.

I moved through the work the way a traveller moves through an airport sequential checkpoints, each one a prerequisite for the next.

Define the map: Broke the product into five modules Onboarding, Guest Booking, Host, Messaging, Settings and scoped 36 screens across the two that mattered most for this phase.

Wireframe the flows: Low fidelity flows for sign-up, search, property detail, and checkout, tested for the shortest logical path from intent to booking.

Build the system: A single color, type, and component language coral accents, soft neutrals, rounded cards applied consistently across all 36 screens.

Prototype & hand off: Connected, clickable flows in Figma with documented components, ready for engineering hand-off and usability walk-throughs.

Five modules. Two fully boarded.

The full product was scoped across five modules. This phase of the case study takes Onboarding, Guest Booking, and Settings all the way to high fidelity Host and Messaging are architected but not yet visually designed.

Onboarding & Authentication: Splash, intro carousel, sign up, log in, OTP verification, password recovery 13 screens.

Guest Experience Booking Flow: Explore, search & filter, property detail, checkout, confirmation 15 screens.

Host Experience: Dashboard, listing creation, booking requests, earnings, host reviews.

Messaging & Support: Inbox, chat detail, help & support center.

Profile & Settings: Profile, edit profile, notifications, app settings, legal 8 screens.

What shipped, and what boards next.

Scoping five modules and shipping three to high fidelity kept the work honest every screen in this case study is a real, connected part of a single flow, not an isolated mockup.

The biggest lesson was architectural: getting the component system right in module A meant modules B and E assembled in a fraction of the time. Price pills, card shadows, form fields, and the bottom navigation are all one component, reused everywhere which is exactly what will let Host and Messaging board without a visual redesign.

Host Dashboard: Earnings overview, listing management, booking requests, and host reviews — built on the same card and list patterns already in use.

Messaging & Support: Guest ↔ host inbox and a help center, using the same input and card components as checkout and settings.

Usability validation: Moderated testing on the booking flow to pressure-test the five-tap goal before engineering hand-off.
